A Note of Thanks

We started in 2016 with a single proposition: that a client deserves a counsel who treats their matter with the same urgency they do. No IVR. No "I'll get back to you." Just a person on the line who could help.

That was the spark. The fire took longer.

To every client who trusted us with the hardest day of their year, to every professional who joined our network, to every partner, associate, and ally who built LawCrust alongside us, and to every adversary across the table who taught us how to be better at our craft:

Thank you.

10+ years in, our promise is unchanged. Be your amicus. Settle, where settlement serves. Fight, where fighting must. And always, always, results over billing.

What Ten Years Teach You

Six Lessons We Are Still Applying

Anniversaries are an excuse to be candid. Below is what running a legal consultancy in India for a decade has actually taught us, before the polish, after the experience.

01

Settlement is a discipline, not a defeat

Most matters resolve before trial when both sides are met where they are. We invested early in mediation training across our practice; ten years later, it remains the highest-leverage skill we hire for.

02

Risk should be priced, not absorbed

Clients carrying legal risk silently is a recipe for bad surprises. The Legal Protect product (now its own brand) was born from this lesson. Risk is a line item, not a cloud.

03

A consulting firm beats a chamber for cross-border work

Tradition serves the courtroom; coordination serves the client. We chose the consulting model deliberately so that a Mumbai matter with a UAE counterpart and a US tax angle gets one answerable owner, not three.

04

Money-wise is not wise

The bigger invoice is rarely the better outcome. Results over billing reads like a slogan; lived ten years, it is just a way of running the practice.

05

Brand clarity is a kindness to the client

A founder who needs talent assessment should not have to read past family law. Hence the FY 2026-27 group restructuring: each practice with its own door, its own domain, its own voice.

06

Modesty travels further than chest-thumping

Bar Council rules forbid us from naming wins anyway. But beyond the rule, we learned that under-promising and over-delivering builds the kind of trust that lasts another decade.

The Next Chapter

Four Directions for the Next Decade

The first decade was about earning trust at scale. The next is about deepening it, and broadening the shape of what a legal consultancy can be.

Direction 01

AI-augmented research and drafting

Through Gensact, we are bringing AI tooling deep into our document and research workflows, freeing counsel for judgment work.

Direction 02

Deeper NRI infrastructure

Cross-border matters are 30% of our caseload and growing. Expect dedicated NRI desks in two more cities by FY 2027.

Direction 03

Litigation Finance as a category

Fundmycase is the first dedicated litigation-finance brand in India. The next decade is about building the category itself.

Direction 04

The LawCrust Foundation

Pro bono work, legal aid, and access-to-justice advocacy. Launched 2024. The first decade was a private practice; the second wears a public conscience.

Here's to the Next Decade

And to you, whether you've been with us for 10 years or 10 minutes. The first conversation is on us, the next decade we'll build together.
